Appointments

We ask new patients to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time in order to fill out a brief questionnaire and provide insurance information. Please be aware that there is construction around the medical center which may add an additional 15-20 minutes to your travel time. If you are an established patient returning to the office for a follow up visit and have changed your address, phone numbers or insurance, please notify our staff upon arrival.  We make every effort to be on time for appointments; however, urgent appointments and urgent phone calls may cause a slight delay. Initial appointments and complete physicals are scheduled for 40-60 minutes.  Follow up visits are generally scheduled for 20-30 minutes.  If you are more than fifteen minutes late for your appointment, you will be seen at the physician?s discretion and may be asked to reschedule.

If possible, please schedule your next appointment before you leave.  In general, the office staff will confirm appointments with a phone call 24-48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. If you must cancel an appointment, we ask that you please call at least 24 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patients. If you fail to cancel your appointment and do not show up for your visit, you will be charged $50.

Generally, blood studies and electrocardiograms (EKG's) will be performed in our office. These studies are usually performed after the physician examines you. If you would like blood to be drawn for a cholesterol reading, we ask that you do not eat anything for 4 hours prior to your office visit. The cholesterol level may not be accurate if you have eaten prior to your appointment. You may have black coffee and water without affecting the results of your cholesterol reading. We also ask that you take all your medicine prior to your office visit unless we instruct you otherwise.
