Certified Nurse Practioners

Certified nurse practitioners have a master's degreee in nursing and are board certified in their specialty. They have undergone extensive clinical training as part of their degree. A nurse practitioner can provide history and physicals, diagnose and treat many common acute and chronic problems, interpret laboratory results, prescribe and manage medications and provide health education. They work closely with their supervising physician. In our office Tricia Schultz works with Dr. Kelly and Tiffani McKenna works with Dr. Buyer. They are both highly qualified and have excellent experience prior to working with West Loop University Medicine including working in the medical intensive care unit of Rush University Medical Center.
